Many native Irish animals live close by to streams, rivers or the ocean.

Their habitat is often mysterious and their character, considered as wise and sometimes shy.

Here we include five creatures, the salmon, frog, dolphin, seal and otter.

In mythology, these creatures are often associated with the ‘otherworld’.
